Welp, here goes...

I'm sitting here in my production office with my heart pounding.  This is it, I've made the decision and I'm sticking with it.

I'm starting a new band.

I've been working on a new EP with the incredibly talented Tommy Eichmann for over a year, an amount of time I have deemed far too long for my liking (and I'm sure Tommy feels the same way though he has never once rushed me).  Right when it was done, I threw him a curve ball.

I'm changing my name and leavin' town.

Okay... so I didn't leave town but I did make a choice to give this new EP, and now a new project altogether, a new name.  I wanted something I myself could stand behind and I wanted it to be something you could too.  I wanted to get creative and explore and play with a project in a way I've never done before.  I want you to be able to have fun with it as well.

Hero House.

Why Hero House?  The answer to that deserves its own post, and I'm going to give it to you soon, I promise.  But for now, just keep in mind that it is an aspirational title, because there are so many incredible musicians who have influenced me up until this point, and who will continue to influence my words and my melodies for all my days to come.  There is more to it than that though, and I promise to fill you in soon.

Wait, what now?

I've decided on a name, taken a few new pictures, and have started to build out this website you're looking at right now.  I have the EP sitting in my apartment, and lots of ideas in my head on how to make you more familiar with Hero House.  I know there are more decisions to make than I can count.  I know with this new project I'll have some explaining to do, especially to those folks who have followed me, supported me up until this point.  But, I hope you'll join me on this new project. If you listened to all the other Jamie Bendell works out there and enjoyed even one track, I know you'll enjoy Hero House, and I'll be ever so grateful when you do.
